A top Global Investment Management firm in Los Angeles is seeking a talented Corporate Paralegal / Legal Analyst to join the firm's growing Legal and Compliance department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while handling all aspects of corporate and vendor contract management, alongside responsibilities related to corporate governance and entity management.
The firm is ideally looking for this candidate to focus on vendor negotiation and contract management, including contract drafting, reviewing, negotiating and more, for contract onboarding or renewal. This hire will also be responsible for supporting the legal team in matters related to Securities Regulations (Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, '33 Act, '34 Act, ERISA). Lastly, this candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and senior management serving as the primary contact on vendor contracts, and will be expected to maintain strong relationships with vendors integral to the firm.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate and vendor contracts, along with developing a vendor management program
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing vendor contracts
• Maintain strong & positive relationships with key vendors and stakeholders
• Manage contract lifecycle from drafting and review to execution and renewal, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain corporate records, filings, and other related legal documents.
• Assist in ensuring all contracts comply with applicable securities laws and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks in vendor agreements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate paralegal work, with a strong focus on contract management and vendor negotiations.
• Experience in the investment management or financial services industry is a plus.
